Greenpeace Breaks into Nuclear Power Plant and more…


Over 30 Greenpeace activists broke into a nuclear plant, protesting the creation of more nuclear power in Sweden. According to their press release: “At 08:30 this morning 40 activists, dressed as renewable energy sources, such as the sun, wind and water, entered the Forsmark nuclear power plant, north of Uppsala, Sweden. Two paragliders also circled the plant with banner messages demanding Swedish politicians ‘Vote no to new nuclear power’.” Fun video and pictures if you click aroundhere


The Climate 9 begin trial today in Aberdeen for the blocking of an airport. Preventing 10 airplanes from taking off, the nine coordinated a civil disobedience action under the Plane Stupid banner that brought traffic to a standstill March 3, 2009, at the Aberdeen Airport.


This will be a busy week in Louisiana’s capitol, Baton Rouge.
On the 15th there is a protest.
On the afternoon of the 16th, there will be a workshop, hosted by public citizen, on how to get organized. And, there will be a Black Wave: the Legacy of the Exxon Valdez viewing at 7:00.
On the 17th&18th, there will be a gathering of marchers, protesters, bicycles, speakers and musicians gathering at the capitol building.
