German Protesters Sabotage Train Tracks, Set Police Car Aflame

After peaceful protests involving tens of thousands of people against a train carrying nuclear waste in the Northern German city of Dannenberg, activists decided to blockade the train tracks. After this attempt failed, another group of activists allegedly tried to sabotage the train tracks, when police officers used “batons, pepper spray, tear gas and water cannon to disperse. the protesters.” Activists responded by throwing fire works and setting a police car on fire.
