Tar sands development can be minimized by blocking development of pipelines, such as Keystone XL, that carry the sludge of this incredibly polluting energy project. Help send important opposition to the US and Canada governments by utilizing a diversity of tactics: circulate news about tar sands, resistance to the development and extraction and information about the communities effected most by the devastation; create and sign petitions, join lobbying groups fighting this development in Washington, contact your state reps; use every tool in the toolbox!!! Use your body, lock down to the earth destroying machines that do what no human can do with their bare hands…

This is the second video subMedia.tv has produced about the struggle to stop a natural gas transport project called the Pacific Trails Pipeline or PTP. The Unis’tot’en, a clan of the Wet’suet’en Nation have built a protection camp to block PTP, in so called British Columbia in Canada. Environmental devastation of the land, water, and air – the largest industrial energy project in the world is extracting crude oil from bitumen found beneath the pristine boreal forest of Alberta, Canada. Effecting a land mass equivalent in size to Florida or England, Both industry and government are putting money before the health and security of its people and the environment.
