As the offshore oil wells rev up in anticipation of a green light from the US government to reconvene operations, the energy company, Denbury, finishes up a 320 mile “Green” pipeline, set to pipe liquefied carbon dioxide captured during industrial refining all the way to East Texas where it will be injected into oil fields in order to enhance production, and then “stored underground”. click here for more. This is the first step — Denbury is also planning a 700 mile pipeline, which would connect coal plants in Ohio and the Midwest to Louisiana, and Texas by extension. This massive carbon crackpot scheme will lead to increased oil extraction, the justification of coal burning power plants and a huge increase in the dangerous practice of carbon sequestration.
