Over 30 Greenpeace activists broke into a nuclear plant, protesting the creation of more nuclear power in Sweden. According to their press release: “At 08:30 this morning 40 activists, dressed as renewable energy sources, such as the sun, wind and water, entered the Forsmark nuclear power plant, north of Uppsala, Sweden. The Climate 9 begin trial today in Aberdeen for the blocking of an airport. Preventing 10 airplanes from taking off, the nine coordinated a civil disobedience action under the Plane Stupid banner that brought traffic to a standstill March 3, 2009, at the Aberdeen Airport.
This will be a busy week in Louisiana’s capitol, Baton Rouge.
On the 15th there is a protest.
On the afternoon of the 16th, there will be a workshop, hosted by public citizen, on how to get organized. And, there will be a Black Wave: the Legacy of the Exxon Valdez viewing at 7:00.
On the 17th&18th, there will be a gathering of marchers, protesters, bicycles, speakers and musicians gathering at the capitol building.
