Calling all Monsters, Hooligans, Clowns, and Halloween Lovers!
In order to Stop the Data Center, some autonomous individuals are calling for a spooky gathering
October 9-13th in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
This gathering will include skillshares, dance parties, Sukkot celebration for those observing, and exercising our legal right to protest the data center.
Camping and indoor options provided:
Please fill out the cryptform to reserve an indoor spot. We will serve 3 meals a day, starting Thursday dinner and ending Monday dinner.

If you’re deciding between flying and driving, we advise that you cover your plate and drive here: having a car will make it more convenient to get from the food and gathering place back to your various sleeping places.
But let us know if flying makes the most sense for you and we will try to put you at someone’s place who has a car and can carpool!

Monday is also Indigenous People’s Day and folks are thoughtfully trying to put together a way to observe this holiday. Feel free to reach out if you have ideas
We care about making this a space that is welcoming to folks of all ages and folks who are caregivers. There will likely be childcare during workshop times, but not throughout the whole gathering. If you wan to help make this possible, please indicate so on the invitation form!
We’re aware that there is an ongoing pandemic that impacts all of us. We will provide rapid COVID testing upon arrival, and encourage testing throughout the week. Masks will be provided and encouraged, and masking indoors will be encouraged. Weather permitting, we will aim to have the majority of events outdoors.
Gathering Strategy
We are not prioritizing winning hearts and minds as a gathering team; the people already hate the data center, but that is not enough to stop it. Instead, we want those instrumental to the building of the data center to take personal responsibility for destroying our world.
Also, we know we are inviting a bunch of strangers to our town. All events we organize will take special care to follow the law. Jail support will be on standby in case of unjust state repression, and we can’t promise what the pigs are going to do, but you will not be asked to do so much as trespass as part of this gathering. We are not here to condemn anyone with different priorities or strategies, just want to share some of our thoughts going into putting this event together. .
