Reverend Billy & choir are currently singing outside PNC bank lobby: “PNC, bring back the mountains!” while about ten mountain justice supporters are sitting down and risking arrest in the PNC lobby!
2 hrs ago: Appalachians, mountain justice supporters at Dept of Interior. Ken Salazar Secretary of the Interior, said “Every American deserves a healthy environment.” Salazar, be true to your word!
Supporters loudly entered the lobby, occupied briefly, then were carried out by Department of Homeland Security.
3 hrs ago: “Stop the war on Appalachia!” About 40 Appalachians and mountain justice supporters with Rising Tide North America at Army Corps of Engineers, some were carried out to sidewalk by police. Corps approves permits for mountaintop removal coal mining sites, is responsible for destruction of mountains!
